Easy Applicable Ways To Keep Your Home Clean

It is every person’s dream to always come back to a clean home. No bugs flying around the tab or the trash can, no dirty dishes lingering in the sink; just a clean house. But it is quite tricky if you are working an eight to five job that requires you to work overtime and you do not have help. The challenge becomes even more strenuous where you have kids and a husband to take care of while you still tackle the work industry. As the mum, everyone looks up to you to get dinner ready on time, and after that, the dishes done. The next morning, your husband and kids need clean clothes for work and school. And to top it all off, they all want packed lunch to carry with them. Keeping in mind that you have work too. Tiring right!

Well, fret no more! In this article, we shall give you a few points as to how you can maintain the cleanliness of your home even as you work your eight to five job.

  1. Incorporate Chores Within Your Everyday Routine

Routines are the best way to go if you are bound by a repetitive pattern of how things are done in your home. If you wake up at 6.00 am every morning, leave the house at 7.30 am, have lunch at 1.00 pm, so forth and so on, you are already living a routine. Therefore, applying this strategy will be easy. Things will be more natural when done alongside your routine. It may seem a challenge in the beginning, but it makes it easy in the long run. For instance, instead of dropping every piece of clothing in the laundry basket, clean the easy ones as you shower. You may also clean the mirror as you brush your teeth, wash the dishes as you wait for breakfast to get ready, among others. Be creative and utilize your time well. Remember, time is money.

  1. Clean As You Go

Ever wondered how restaurants and big hotels manage to clean up their premises from dishes to floors, on time? Well, it is because they go by the philosophy of you clean as you go. This means that before you move on to another task, you leave your station as clean as you found it. As long as you used it, you clean it. This slogan has been successful in all these places, then why not apply it in your home?  At home, a perfect example would be to clean your plate after dinner to avoid clatter in the morning. By creating such a culture, your kids are also able to adapt and help around the house too.

  1. Use Only What You Need

Another vital piece of information you should equip yourself with is to use only what you need. Meaning if you are to bake a cake, for instance, use only the utensils required. Do not go overboard by using different cups for measuring, whereas you may use one with all calibrations indicated. And yet again clean as you go. Remove only the clothes you are to wear not the entire closet. This not only saves you time now but also later on.

  1. Make Cleaning A Family Thing

Lastly, make home cleaning easier by making the whole exercise a fun family thing. Select a day of the week, preferably a weekend, where every member of the family gets down and dirty to clean the house. Put on some rugged pants, turn on the music and sing along to those words as you scrub the floor. Chores do don’t have to be torture. They can be fun too.
